Summary:

As a Test Automation Lead, a typical day involves spearheading the evolution of testing practices to establish a seamless and efficient quality engineering process. This role focuses on enhancing the overall testing framework by integrating advanced tools and methodologies that ensure precision and reliability. The position requires driving innovation in testing strategies to create more predictive and intelligent automation solutions, thereby elevating the quality and integrity of deliverables across projects. Collaboration and continuous improvement are central to the daily activities, fostering a culture of excellence in quality assurance.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
• Responsible for team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Lead the adoption of innovative testing tools and methodologies to enhance automation capabilities.
• Mentor and support team members to develop their skills and improve overall team performance.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts to align testing strategies with project goals and timelines.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Playwright — strong hands-on experience building and maintaining end-to-end automated test suites
  TypeScript (strongly preferred) or JavaScript — clean, well-typed automation code with solid async/await patterns
  Agentic AI & workflow automation — practical experience applying AI agents to testing workflows
  GitHub & CI/CD pipelines — authoring pipelines with test gates on PR, merge, and release triggers
  Agile methodology — active participation in sprint ceremonies, refinement, and Definition of Done
  Test Design — equivalence partitioning, boundary analysis, decision tables, and exploratory testing techniques
  Nice to have:
  Playwright MCP — familiarity with Model Context Protocol for AI-assisted test generation
  Squash TM — linking automated tests to test plans and tracking coverage
  Financial services experience — understanding of the sector's regulatory and data integrity requirements
  Securities trading domain — knowledge of order lifecycle, market data, or FIX protocol is a strong differentiator

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Automated Testing.
• This position is based at our Pune office.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
