Job Title – Data Scientist

Management Level: CL 6

Data Scientists (Advanced Modeling, Simulation & Economic Analysis)
Profile Focus: Candidates with deep grounding in statistics, economics, and applied mathematics (e.g., ISI, top IITs, or equivalent quantitative programs).

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement advanced analytical and simulation models, including:
Regression and econometric models (cross-sectional, panel, time-series)
Monte Carlo simulations and stochastic modeling
Agent-based models (ABM) for complex system interactions
Game-theoretic models (strategic behavior, equilibrium analysis)
Spatial modeling and bargaining frameworks
Design scenario simulations to evaluate policy, market, or system-level outcomes
Apply causal inference and econometric techniques to real-world datasets
Translate ambiguous business or policy problems into formal mathematical frameworks
Collaborate with engineering teams to productionize models and simulations

Required Skills:

Strong expertise in:
Econometrics and statistical inference
Game theory and strategic modeling
Agent-based modeling and simulation techniques
Proficiency in Python/R, with relevant libraries (Num Py, Pandas, Statsmodels, PyMC, Mesa, etc.)

Experience with simulation environments and modeling frameworks
Ability to communicate complex analytical outputs in a clear, decision-oriented manner

Preferred Qualifications:

Academic or practical experience in:
Computational economics or quantitative social sciences
Policy modeling, market design, or behavioral modeling
Exposure to network models, spatial analysis, or multi-agent systems
Publications, research work, or thesis in relevant domains is a strong plus
