Write the software that powers and operates a silicon chip. Develop pre-silicon firmware and software with a direct interface to hardware. Integrate and develop C tests/APIs and software build flow. Perform design and code reviews. Test and validate product implementations.

Summary:

As a Silicon Firmware and Embedded Engineer, a typical day involves writing software that controls and operates silicon chips, focusing on developing firmware and software before the silicon is finalized. The role includes creating and integrating tests and application programming interfaces that directly interact with hardware components. Time is also dedicated to reviewing designs and code to ensure quality and accuracy, as well as testing and validating the implemented products to meet required standards. Collaboration with team members to refine software build processes and troubleshoot issues is an integral part of daily activities.

• Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
• Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
• Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of firmware with hardware components.
• Document technical specifications and maintain clear communication of progress and challenges.
• Assist junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on project tasks.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Embedded C++.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture and hardware-software interfacing.
• Experience in developing and debugging firmware for silicon chips.
• Familiarity with software build systems and continuous integration processes.
• Ability to perform thorough code reviews and implement best coding practices.
• Skilled in testing methodologies and validation techniques for embedded software.

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in Embedded C++.
• This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
