Act as the primary interface with users/clients to accurately diagnose issues and deliver effective resolutions across infrastructure, operating systems, networks, and application platforms, ensuring service stability and quality support.

As an Infra Tech Support Practitioner, a typical day involves delivering first and second level technical assistance for infrastructure, systems, and applications across both production and development settings. This role requires working closely with users and clients, either remotely or onsite, to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently. The practitioner ensures smooth operation and stability of services by adhering to established processes and operating models, while maintaining clear communication and coordination with various stakeholders to support the overall technology environment.
Job Overview:
- We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Security Engineer to join our growing cloud security team supporting a global pharmaceutical organization. The candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing security controls across AWS environments to protect sensitive healthcare and research data.
- The role requires hands-on experience in AWS security architecture, cloud governance, Dev Sec Ops practices, and regulatory compliance, ensuring cloud environments meet GxP, HIPAA, and GDPR standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Security Architecture:
- Design and implement AWS cloud security best practices across multi-account environments.
- Develop and maintain security policies for AWS services including IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and EKS.
- Establish secure deployment architectures and ensure least-privilege access.
Security Governance & Compliance:
- Implement and manage AWS Control Tower guardrails, Service Control Policies (SCPs), and AWS Config rules.
- Ensure AWS infrastructure complies with GxP, HIPAA, and GDPR regulatory standards.
- Support security audits, compliance assessments, and risk management activities.
Security Monitoring & Incident Response:
- Monitor AWS environments for potential threats using services such as:
- AWS Guard Duty, AWS Security Hub, AWS Macie, AWS Inspector, AWS WAF
- Investigate alerts and collaborate with Security Operations Center (SOC) teams to respond to security incidents.
Dev Sec Ops & Automation:
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement automated security guardrails using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible.
- Integrate security practices within CI/CD pipelines.
Security Assessments:
- Perform regular vulnerability scans, security assessments, and penetration testing.
- Participate in cloud architecture reviews and threat modeling to ensure security by design.
Required Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in cloud security with strong focus on AWS environments.
- Hands-on experience with AWS security services:
- Guard Duty, Security Hub, Macie, Inspector, AWS WAF
- Strong understanding of AWS IAM policies, RBAC, and identity federation (SSO, SAML, OIDC).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible).
- Knowledge of security logging, monitoring, and SIEM tools (Splunk, ELK, AWS CloudWatch).
- Experience working in regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, healthcare, or financial services.
- Familiarity with GxP, HIPAA, or GDPR compliance frameworks.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AWS Control Tower and AWS Organizations.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes security and AWS EKS environments.
- Experience with container security and cloud-native security practices.
- Exposure to pharmaceutical research environments, clinical systems, or bioinformatics platforms.
- AWS Certified Security – Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect certification preferred.
Soft Skills:

- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in AWS Compute.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
