Associate Director, HCP Marketing - Rheumatology at AbbVie
About the role
Lead the strategy development and execution of HCP professional marketing initiatives for RINVOQ in Axial Spondyloarthritis (ax SpA) and Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA). The scope includes AS & GCA strategy and tactics, along with broader cross-functional Rheumatology portfolio focused initiatives. The role will serve as the subject matter expert for the Brand Team and will be highly integrated with internal cross functional partners on a regular basis (including Medical, Regulatory, HEOR, Market Research & Analytics, IRA, Market Access, Sales, Patient Services). This role develops and leads effective HCP marketing strategies that are impactful, executable by Sales partners, easily communicated, pulled through strategically in omnichannel and clinically/financially supported for areas of responsibility (product, indication, channel, marketing mix, etc.).
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to lead without authority, have an innovative mindset to advance ways of working across large teams, be competent in managing multiple projects and developing and delivering presentations to leadership. This individual will report to the Marketing Director and have no direct reports.
Responsibilities:
- Co-create with Rheumatology counterparts, as well as IBT partners, business leaders and internal cross functional partners to build, manage and execute marketing plans to achieve business objectives and goals including patients’, market and financial results
- Drive and participate in business and marketing plans process
- Demonstrates and utilizes holistic understanding of financial planning
- Influence business leaders and effectively collaborate cross-functionally to deliver business results
- Grow brand/product penetration, share and awareness
- Direct and manage projects including execution of marketing plans, initiatives and tasks
- Agency relations and management
- Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of biopharmaceutical marketing experience, HCP marketing experience required, Immunology leadership preferred
- Excellent communication skills with proven past experiences in writing Strategic documents
- Strong collaboration and team orientation, with experience accomplishing results through others and by influencing others
- Proven marketing experience with increased proficiency in marketing skills
- Previous cross franchise/cross channel marketing experience preferred
