JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced art director with a strong track record in conceptual thinking and delivering compelling creative solutions across print and digital platforms. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in visual design, brand communication, and layout development, along with the ability to manage people, projects, and multiple deadlines effectively. Experience in working with large brands and developing campaign-ready creative ideas is essential. The role entails providing leadership to teams, ensuring effective project management, facilitating customer coordination, and responsible for four distinct specialized design functions.
Roles & Responsibilities
To collaborate with the creative and marketing teams in addressing brand challenges and identifying strategic opportunities. The art director will develop impactful and enduring campaign ideas that differentiate the company’s products and services in competitive markets.
Creative & Design Execution
- Ideate, design, and deliver engaging visual content aligned with the company’s brand identity.
- Lead the creation of print and digital materials including brand books, illustrations, infographics, marketing collateral, social media creatives, and email campaigns.
- Ensure all design outputs are high-quality, innovative, and aligned with brand guidelines.
Project & Production Management
- Deliver visuals within the allocated timelines with a strong understanding of production processes.
- Ensure all deadlines are met for proofing, approvals, and final sign-off.
- Maintain accurate, updated schedules accessible on the server.
- Communicate proactively with colleagues and team members about timeline changes and project status.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor team members, fostering collaboration, creativity, and professional growth.
- Drive continuous improvements in design quality and team productivity.
- Stay updated on industry trends, design technologies, and creative best practices.
Skills & Personal Attributes:
- Strong conceptual and visual thinking abilities.
- Exceptional creative instincts with deep understanding of colour, typography, layout, contrast, scale, and visual hierarchy.
- Proficiency in major design tools and formats (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build productive internal relationships.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
- Ability to interpret briefs effectively and offer strategic, practical design solutions.
- Flexible, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work autonomously when needed.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team orientation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in design or a related field (or equivalent qualification).
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and relevant design software.
- Extensive experience in both print and digital design.
