The Opportunity:

This position works out of our Menlo Park, CA location in the Structural Heart division.

Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life by designing and providing device and management solutions for treating structural heart disease.

As an Receiving Inspection Supervisor you will: Provide leadership to inspectors and technicians that support receiving, in-process and final inspection, tool inspection/qualifications and first article inspections.

What You’ll Work On:

  • Assure timely inspections that support materials, product releases and in-process inspections.

  • Maintain staff and equipment to assure appropriate technical capabilities.

  • Monitor inspection procedures for effectiveness.

  • Monitor compliance to appropriate regulatory standards.

  • Effectively communicate with and provide support to other departments as necessary.

  • Maintain a department culture of continuous improvement.

  • Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.

  • Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

Qualifications:

  • Associates/Technical Degree Required

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on relevant experience including but not limited to the following:

  • Quality supervisory experience in the medical industry

  • Experience with quality systems auditing (desired)

  • ASQ certification in quality, Six Sigma, and/or lean manufacturing (desired)

  • Experience working in a broader enterprise or cross-division business unit model (preferred)

  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment

  • Ability to work both within a team and independently in a fast-paced, changing environment

  • Ability to leverage and engage others to accomplish projects

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at multiple organizational levels

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a timely manner

  • Strong organizational, follow-up skills, and attention to detail

The base pay for this position is

$90,000.00 – $180,000.00
In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
