This position works out of our Imazium Damansara location in the Abbott Nutrition division. Our nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow, to keeping adult bodies strong and active. As a Market Access Manager, you will be responsible for leading market access, reimbursement, pricing, and tender strategies to ensure sustainable listing, funding, and access to Abbott Nutrition products across Malaysia’s public and private healthcare systems. The role drives policy inclusion, payer engagement, and access execution, ensuring nutrition solutions are appropriately valued, funded, and integrated within Malaysia’s healthcare delivery and financing frameworks.

Key Success Factors

  • Able to lead national market access efforts to ensure Abbott Nutrition products are included in policies, programs & funding frameworks.
  • Help shape how healthcare stakeholders understand the value of nutrition in patient care by translating clinical and economic evidence into clear, practical messages.
  • Shape and guide tender strategies across MOH, MOE, MOD and selected private payers.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of local reimbursement processes, decision pathways, and timelines.
  • Clearly communicate the economic and healthcare system benefits of Abbott Nutrition products to payers, hospitals, and policymakers.
  • Serve as a trusted and credible partner in discussions related to access, funding, and nutrition value.
  • Represent Abbott Nutrition in relevant industry discussions related to access and reimbursement where appropriate.
  • Work closely with Commercial, Medical, Finance, Legal, and Government Affairs teams to ensure access strategies are well aligned and compliant.
  • Provide clear market access input to support business planning, pricing decisions, and portfolio prioritization.

Minimum Experience/Training Required:

  • 6 – 8 years in Market Access, Reimbursement, Policy, or Government Affairs within nutrition, pharma, or healthcare
  • Proven experience influencing national policy or reimbursement inclusion
  • Strong track record of leadership without direct authority in complex, matrixed organizations
  • Deep understanding of Malaysia healthcare system and funding mechanisms
