We are seeking an Associate Director, Product Design in Alameda, CA to lead the design of the next evolution of the product. This role is ideal for a strategic design leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, is deeply passionate about user-centered design, and is excited to shape the future of health technology at scale.

What You'll Work On

As the Associate Director, you will:

  • Lead Product Evolution: Own the design vision for Lingo 2.0, our next-generation health platform. You'll rearchitect the user experience from the ground up, making it simpler and more intuitive while delivering actionable insights that empower users to make smarter health decisions.

  • Champion User-Centered Design: Ensure that all design work is grounded in user research, usability testing, and data-driven insights.

  • Lead Design Work: Own the design direction and execution for major product initiatives, setting the standard for design quality across the team. Mentor and guide other designers through feedback, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with product management, engineering, brand, and marketing to deliver cohesive, high-impact experiences across mobile and web platforms.

  • Influence Product Direction: Contribute to product strategy and roadmap planning by advocating for the user and identifying opportunities for differentiation through design.

  • Communicate Design Impact: Articulate design vision, progress, and impact to product leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in digital product design, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role. ·

  • Bachelor's in design, HCI, or a related field.

  • Deep expertise in UX/UI design for mobile and web applications.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating design excellence, and measurable impact.

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and/or Adobe Creative Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in design

  • Experience in health tech, wearables, or performance-focused consumer products is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of agile development, design thinking, and user research

  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
