About the role

JOB DESCRIPTION:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Technical and Clinical Support

  • Develop and execute territory and distributor sales strategies to achieve assigned targets
  • Manage and drive distributor performance, including forecasting, inventory, and pipeline management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand market presence
  • Provide clinical and product support including case coverage and training where required
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, operation, leadership) to ensure alignment and execution
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adjust strategies
  • Support tender submissions, pricing discussions, and contract negotiations within guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations

Educational Support

  • Provide education on safe and effective use of Abbott products.

  • Organize and support workshops, seminars, and continuous education programs

  • Ensure distributors are well-trained and capable of delivering accurate product knowledge

  • Partner with KOLs to drive therapy awareness and adoption

  • Demonstrated ability to drive market development activities in partnership with SEA Marketing manager in SEA markets

Leadership & Team Support

  • Provide guidance, coaching, and day-to-day support to distributor sales teams to drive performance and capability development
  • Partner with distributors to strengthen sales execution, product knowledge, and customer engagement
  • Lead by influence to align distributor teams with company goals, standards, and strategies
  • Support onboarding and continuous development of distributor personnel through training and field engagement
  • Act as a key link between internal management and distributor teams to ensure clear communication and alignment

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5+ to 10 years experiences in Medical Device or healthcare sales
  • Diploma, Associate’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Business , or the Medical Sciences
  • Experience communicating product’s market advantages to physicians and hospital administration.
  • Experience teaching and educating medical personnel, peers and technical support personnel.
  • Excellent influencing and consulting skills in Medical cardiovascular
  • Proven experience in distributor management and indirect sales models
  • Strong understanding of hospital environment, procurement processes, and tender management
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and work cross-functionally
  • Strong project management skills with experience coordinating programs
  • Effectively build and maintain positive relationships with peers and colleagues across organizational levels and functions.

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle and process customer feedback/complaints/product experience in timely manner and according to Abbott Medical Asia’s and Abbott Medical country’s policy and requirement
  • Execute the job responsibilities according to applicable standard operating procedures of Abbott Medical Asia and Abbott Medical Country Affiliate
  • Ensure applicable standard operating procedures of Abbott Medical Asia and Abbott Medical Country Affiliate are executed
