MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

• Individual contributor that works under limited supervision.

• Applies subject matter knowledge.

• Responsible for the efficient transportation and distribution of raw materials and finished products to customers, retailers and to other facilities within the organization.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for delivering goods to and from designated locations on time.

• May also load and unload truck.

• Prepares receipts, verifies orders, and may collect payment for deliveries.

• May also inspect and repair vehicle.

• Activities include acting in compliance with the most efficient transportation procedures according to cost, timing, and handling frame-work.

• Complying with product delivery schedules.

• Recording and following-up shipments.

• Loading, unloading and transporting products.

• Maintaining the vehicle and equipment fleet.
