Program Highlights
- Operations PDP (OPDP) begin their careers at Abbott through a three-year program designed to provide broad growth and development, combining both breadth and depth of Operations experience.
- Upon completion, PDP participants transition into their next full-time roles, continuing to grow their careers and contribute as Abbott professionals, supported by the strong foundation of skills, experience, and network built during the program.
Program Overview
- Over the course of three years, PDP participants engage in three critical career experiences designed to accelerate learning and development.
- PDP participants complete three distinct assignments across different divisions and/or functional areas, including Technical, Supervisory, and Operations Excellence roles.
- The program provides diverse development opportunities through rotations in areas such as Production, Engineering, Quality, Project Management, and Operations Excellence.
Rotation Guidelines
- PDP participants complete three assignments (12 months each) across different divisions and/or functional areas.
- Each assignment is unique and conducted under a different Assignment Manager, no assignment is repeated.
- PDP participants starting in July 2027 will complete the three‑year program by June 2030, with the final rotation being an international (overseas) assignment.
