Role Summary

The Marketing Manager will lead strategic and operational marketing initiatives for Abbott Vascular’s APAC business, driving growth for DES, Core Coronary & Atherectomy products. This role is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that align with business objectives, developing marketing campaigns, customer insights and training, ensuring strong market penetration and revenue growth in a highly competitive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Execution
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets for the assigned portfolios
  • Conduct market analysis, competitive intelligence, and identify growth opportunities. Create go-to-market strategies for geographies within the region to support individual product launches to maximize business growth
  • Create and validate strong market models reflecting current market trends and competitive landscape
  • Routinely perform analyses of industry, market, and account-specific trends. Present findings in clear, consistent presentations with specific conclusions and proposed actions
  • Align APAC marketing plans with global strategies.
  • Portfolio Management
  • Drive product positioning, pricing strategies, and lifecycle management for DES, Core Coronary (Guidewire, BDC, Accessories), and Atherectomy portfolios
  • Plan and lead key regional marketing events
  • Provide regional leadership and guidance to support execution of regional marketing activities and tactics
  • Collaborate with global teams on new product launches and ensure successful commercialization in APAC
  • Demand Generation & Customer Engagement
  • Design and execute campaigns to drive core business and market leadership
  • Plan and lead regional physician engagement programs, KOL management, and educational initiatives. Create and lead KOL development and tracking activities; host advisory board meetings, and other Abbott organized clinical events
  • Support launch planning and execution of new technologies
  • Drive internal team training and skill building initiatives
  • Financial Accountability
  • Manage marketing budgets effectively to deliver ROI
  • Monitor performance metrics and provide regular business reviews to leadership
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with sales, clinical, regulatory, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless execution of marketing plans

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 6–10 years of marketing experience in medical devices or healthcare industry, with strong exposure to cardiovascular or vascular therapies.
  • Proven track record in managing multi-country marketing strategies and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Travel expectation 30% of the time
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • Strong track record of new product launches and execution excellence.
  • Deep understanding of APAC healthcare market dynamics.
  • Excellent branding, creative skills
  • Understanding of digital channels of marketing
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills along with high Power

  • Ability to influence and collaborate across functions and geographies.
