JOB DESCRIPTION:

About the role

As Senior Accountant, you will be the first point of contact for all inventory-related accounting topics. The role requires close collaboration with Warehouse Operations, Supply Chain, Shared Service teams, and other internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting, timely close, and full compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of inventory and warehouse-related accounting activities for medical device shipments
• Coordinate and follow up with multiple stakeholders to ensure all shipments are accurately recorded
• Perform invoice controls and investigate discrepancies
• Ensure full compliance with SOX requirements by implementing and maintaining robust financial controls
• Actively contribute to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
• Work closely with the Shared Service Organization and external partners where applicable
• Support internal and external audits, with a strong focus on inventory

Education & qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Relevant accounting experience (preferably in an operational or inventory-heavy environment)
• Experience in an international or multinational company is an advantage
• Solid understanding of financial processes, controls, and accuracy requirements
• Experience with SAP is a plus but not mandatory
• Highly proficient in Excel, with a strong understanding of the data you work with
• Fluent in English. Knowledge in Dutch or French is an advantage, but not required.
• The role requires on-site presence in Machelen at least 4 days per week
