About the Role

This position reports to the R&D Manager Critical Power.

The working model for this role is: onsite

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute with your creativity and technical knowledge to the development of new and innovative solutions. You will be responsible for the development of design solutions for new products and for design optimizations in the existing product portfolio. Project and sub-project management of small development projects as well as the coordination of external design work are also part of your area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

You will be mainly responsible for:

• Development of innovative design concepts to provide solutions for the tasks addressed to you and collaborate with project and product teams
• Manufacturing-ready design of components in exchange with the relevant departments and proactive implementation of design solutions in cooperation with the product teams
• Project and sub-project management of small development projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Precision Engineering/Mechatronics or a related field
• Strong technical knowledge in the design of plastic components as well as stamped/bent parts and ideally already technical knowledge in the field of mechanical and electrical systems of low-voltage products
• Fluent communication in German and English (spoken and written) with strong communication skills
• Very good knowledge of CAD software (preferably Solidworks)
• Very good knowledge and application of Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS-Project)
• High degree of self-motivation, quick learner, and results-oriented manner with a positive attitude
• At least 2 years of professional experience in the relevant field
• Experience and application of project management methods
