Role Overview

Reports to: Accounting & Reporting Manager

• General

Work Model: Onsite

Location: Bengaluru

In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive complete, accurate, and timely completion of accounting activities for the assigned area (e.g., reporting, consolidation, etc.) within the General Accounting (GA) team. Each day, you will ensure compliance with internal guidelines, procedures, and external regulatory requirements. You will also showcase your expertise by overseeing, reviewing, and/or supporting the month-end close process including account reconciliation, preparation of journal entries, balance sheet review, etc.

Key Responsibilities

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Overseeing the preparation of financial statements in the appropriate format to include in timely filings with regulatory agencies
• Leading Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICoFR) compliance for specific areas (e.g., record-to-report, order-to-cash, etc.) to ensure that processes and controls are designed effectively and to address financial reporting
• Performing analysis of accounts and highlighting any discrepancies/anomalies for correction and serving as an escalation point or subject matter expert for the resolution of accounting transactions and reporting questions
• Ensuring transparency in financial reporting and disclosures
• Performing general accounting activities and recording financial transactions
• Conducting investigations and reconciliations of accounts as necessary for any discrepancies
• Executing accounting analyses and reports in support of finance and business leaders
• Producing reports, statement of accounts, reconciliations, statements of sourcing
• Handling month end book closing activities
• Handling audit queries
• Recommending changes of process standards and procedures to improve the timely performance of process activities
• Identifying areas for process / report standardization across different countries

Qualifications

Mandatory:

• Immersed in / engaged in / absorbed in / highly skilled in / you enjoy working with GA Payroll Accounting team
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Payroll General Accounting
• Very good leadership skills in monitoring and handling a team of 8-10 members
• Problem solving abilities
• Good analytical skills and management reporting knowledge
• Knowledge in WORKDAY / SAP / S4HANA
• Very good knowledge in Payroll Statutory payments and Payroll accruals
• Experience in Payroll Transition Process
• Multi-tasking capability
• Ready to accept new challenges
• Flexible to work in any shifts
