Your role and responsibilities

In this role, The Solution Architect provides the skills, knowledge, and experience to formulate a solution that will not only address the project requirements but also ensure the solution fits with existing and future services. The Solution Architect is also aware of the organizations strategy and the various current under-pinning policies that support the strategy going forward.

The work model for the role is Hybrid

This role is contributing to the IS Services in Bangalore.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Is accountable to approve, sign-off and build any solution to be implemented on ABB Production environment, within the respective service line, keeping the quality and safety in a controlled manner
• Defines the technical IS solution and ensures alignment with other modules and surrounding IS applications through cooperation and collaboration across IS solution architects and IS delivery units
• Engages in requirement engineering to decide which requirements are covered by available standard functionalities, for which functionalities enhancements are needed and for which functionalities workarounds are accepted
• Supports validation and prioritization of incoming business demand in collaboration with the relevant IS Service Owner and/or IS Lead Architect
• Reviews and signs off the functional and technical use case specifications
• Provides guidance to IS service delivery unit team and to IS project management in how to utilize IS application/solutionst and ards effectively

Qualifications for the role

• 8+ years in a Basis Administration / System Administration role
• Expert in SAP system sizing, landscape architecture, design, and setup
• Expert in SAP upgrade/migration, especially HANA and S/4HANA
• Proven track record of technical background in software and/or infrastructure design, development, and cloud implementation
• Knowledgeable on multiple DB technologies especially (DB2, Oracle, ASE) to HANA
• Strong working knowledge of Instance Types, Storage, OS, Network, Disaster Recovery, and High Availability approaches in the context of running SAP on hyper scaler cloud
• Excellent know how of the technology of the ERP ecosystem including inte-grations
