This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we’ve announced the plan for Soft Bank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. This Position reports to:

Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role as Sales Engineer for Robotics, you will take charge of selling ABB Robotics' cutting-edge product portfolio. Your primary focus will be on engaging with a diverse range of customers, from small and medium enterprises to regional global players, to drive business opportunities in the growing field of industrial robotics.

The work model for the role is: {onsite}

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Preparing sales plans and bids, managing key accounts (particularly in the general industry), and providing customers with tailored products, solutions, and services that align with volume, mix, and profitability targets.
  • Identifying and developing new market opportunities, monitoring customer and market trends, and collaborating with the Marketing team to create effective marketing activities,
  • Contributing to expand the partner network, ensuring efficient coordination of sales activities and transactions, and analyzing data to meet business objectives.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, a passion for sales, and a hands-on approach to identifying and pursuing market opportunities.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience in a technical environment
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales-related roles, preferably within the robotics or automation industry
  • Proficiency in CRM tools such as SAP and Salesforce, with demonstrated experience in the collaborative robotics market
  • Solid understanding of customer relationship management practices, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships while staying informed on market trends, supported by a solution-oriented approach to addressing customer needs
  • Fluent in English and Turkish, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel as required, balancing onsite collaboration with virtual engagement to effectively manage and strengthen customer relationships
