This position reports to: Local/Hub Division Manager
This position plays a key role in supporting the Process Automation, Measurement & Analytics Division across Egypt, North, and Central Africa. The role requires adherence to ABB's core values ethics, health, safety, and integrity—in alignment with the ABB Code of Conduct. This means taking responsibility for your actions while fostering a culture of care for colleagues and the business.
Responsibilities
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Analyzing customer requirements and information provided by the Sales organization
- Providing technical advice and reviewing enquiry specifications for customers, channels, and Sales Specialists regarding ABB products, systems, and applications
- Supporting the local Sales organization and customers in identifying technically suitable and cost-effective solutions, and assisting in preparing complex offers, including pricing and trading conditions
- Managing technical and commercial negotiations with internal and external vendors
- Overseeing the Sales Leads and Screening process
- Executing inside sales activities for assigned accounts
- Conducting lost-case analysis, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
- Implementing local and global standards, rules, tools, policies, and processes related to Sales and Sales Support to ensure efficient execution
- Ensuring compliance with Sales guidelines and policies throughout the Sales Cycle using ABB tools such as Salesforce, Third-Party Management Tools, Risk Reviews, and bid-screening tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Communication, or Mechanical)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial process applications with basic knowledge of field instrumentation (Flow, Pressure, Temperature, Level) and process analyzers
- Fluent in English and Arabic; French is a plus
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, analytical skills, conflict resolution, and empathy
- Eagerness to learn new tools and technologies to achieve targets
- Willing to travel internally for technical meetings
- Innovative mindset with the ability to develop tools and solutions to overcome business challenges
