About the Role

Reports to: Senior Engineering Manager

This role supports front-end sales in converting leads to sales qualified opportunities. You will possess practical level product knowledge and use of RS and BOL to handle basic customer queries and understand their needs. You will be responsible for following up leads generated from demand generation activities and managing customers segmented "D-Digital" in SFDC. You will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Manage and process inbound leads generated through campaigns such as trade shows, social media, email marketing, and other demand-generation activities
  • Understand customer needs, conduct initial pre-qualification, and assess product fit before routing qualified opportunities to partners, cobot experts, sales executives, or the sales manager
  • Work with Sales Operations to audit and maintain accurate lead–opportunity–booking data integrity within SFDC (Salesforce)
  • Source new sales opportunities through outbound prospecting as needed, including researching prospects, cold calling, emailing, networking, and qualifying potential customers
  • Collaborate with channel managers and business developers to monitor pipeline health and track partner performance on assigned leads

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline with 5–12 years of relevant experience in sales operations, deal management, lead management, or commercial operations
  • Proven experience leading and coordinating Lead Management processes, working closely with regional and local sales teams
  • Strong capability to act as a Deal Manager, ensuring clear internal communication and smooth progression of deals through proposals, legal, factory, and product teams
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and automate sales process tasks to increase efficiency and enable front-end sales effectiveness
  • Experience partnering with Sales Operations to define and track KPIs, deal progress metrics, and overall pipeline health
  • Strong understanding of risk management requirements, with prior experience conducting pre-reviews to ensure complete and accurate information before approvals
  • Ability to prioritize deals based on strategic direction from Sales Leadership, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer priorities
  • Commitment to delivering an excellent customer experience throughout the sales cycle, ensuring responsiveness and issue resolution
  • Strong knowledge of compliance requirements, demonstrating alignment with core values, safety, integrity, ABB Code of Conduct, and all regulatory/organizational policies
  • Experience collaborating across divisions and countries, with strong relationship-building skills and the ability to support cross-functional teams in achieving shared outcomes
  • Familiarity with commercial and sales domains such as portfolio management, business strategy, market intelligence, GTM strategy, pricing, legal compliance, sales enablement, account management, and channel sales
