This position reports to:

Engineering Manager

Working as a Project Engineer, you will be the technical lead and/or design authority for Process Automation engineering projects in Renewable, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Power Generation, Water treatment industries both in the US and Global projects, providing technical details, costs, and deliverables for sales proposals.

In this role, you will make technical recommendations in various phases of customer projects to ensure successful delivery of project deliverables on time, within budget, and in line with quality and safety guidelines.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with customers to shape and deliver solutions, and utilizing feedback to drive delivery of improvements for small to medium complex projects
  • Developing and reviewing standard processes, tools and techniques while ensuring that engineering activities comply with safety regulations and contractual requirements
  • Creating and delivering the work plan and budget, as well as risk assessments relevant to your engineering discipline
  • Supporting contract managers in issuing claims related to changes in project scope, including assessing cost and time impacts as well as risk quantifications
  • Helping customers resolve technical issues both remotely and at customer sites US and possible Global projects
  • Developing your management and communication skills by coaching entry-level engineers, technicians, and support teams
  • Maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing excellent service at all stages of the project
  • This position requires extensive on-site work at our customer facility on a rotation schedule. The successful candidate must be comfortable with a predominantly field-based role and extended customer site assignments.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately up to 50% of the time

Qualifications for the Role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or other engineering Degree
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering, working as an Engineer with Distributed Control Systems or Programmable Logic Controllers
  • Sound knowledge of engineering techniques, processes, and tools
  • A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
  • Collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills; applicants should be self-motivated, curious and have a desire to learn new technologies
  • Candidates must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Applicants must have appropriate authorization to work permanently in the United States now and in the future; reimbursement for relocation is not available
