This Position reports to: R&D Team Lead

  • We are looking for an R&D HW Engineer to join in Research and Development
  • Special Circuit Breaker Team based in Dalmine (IT) developing and integrating embedded electronics for advanced Medium Voltage circuit in our Electrification business.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Distribution Solutions Division within the Electrification Business Area in Dalmine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Realizing the HW design of architecture and technical details, simulating circuits, and developing electronic projects which require mainly knowledge of analog, power supply, and power electronics.
  • Taking care of the design optimization by identifying technical, architectural, and circuitry solutions, and exploiting the highest integration with the rest of the product (mechanical part, control, and sensors).
  • Running the prototype development, implementing the executive drawings, the entire project documentation (from pre-feasibility studies to detailed design documents), carrying out preliminary tests for design pre-validation, analyzing the quality and reliability of the product, debugging prototypes, and collaborating in the integration with control FW.
  • Drawing up the technical documentation required for production of the electronic product and carrying out activities to support and maintain the products when requested.
  • Working closely with other functions and suppliers, and coordinating external partners for hardware-related services when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering
  • Up to 5 years of experience in embedded hardware design for industrial applications
  • Skilled in prototype debugging, power supply design, signal integrity, and analog signal conditioning
  • Experience in EMI design and troubleshooting, with proficiency in lab instruments and board reworking
  • Strong teamwork, innovation, and problem-solving abilities
  • Fluent in English and Italian, both written and spoken
