Position Overview

Reports to: Trade & Transportation Manager

Work model: #Li-Onsite

This role is contributing to the Electrification business in Distribution Solution division at Vadodara, India.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for local import/export operations. Each day, you will supervise performance of customs brokers. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring smooth execution of operational trade and customs activities within a local unit, including relevant documentation and compliance with regulations.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Acting as point of contact for customs brokers in case of clarification needs (e.g., regarding valuation or classification of products)
• Auditing customs brokers regarding the correctness of customs entries, invoicing, and archiving
• Managing the necessary documentation and online forms for the efficient, cost-effective, and lawful execution of all import/export activities
• Maintaining and sharing with colleagues, as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant import/export laws and procedures, tariffs, duties, licenses, and restrictions

Qualifications for the Role

• You are immersed in EXIM operations in switchgear industry
• You have 8 to 10 years of experience in Managing Domestic Logistics, including LTL & FTL management
• Experience international import and export operations, ensuring compliance with global trade regulations and local customs requirements
• You have experience in Negotiates freight and transportation rates
• Coordinating with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and other logistics service providers
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of SAP - HANA, Inco Terms (International Commercial Terms) and MS Office Package
• Bachelor's in B.Com or Masters in M.Com / MBA
• You are at ease communicating in English
