This role is contributing to the ABB Smart Power division in Richmond, VA. The work model for the role is

Responsibilities

As a Quality Specialist, you will be supporting ABB's production line quality of our Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) products used in data centers and critical power applications. You will be mainly accountable for:

• Performing Quality Inspection on units on the production line
• Support production in troubleshooting
• Collaborating with quality and cross-functional teams to address non conformances
• Ensuring proper ESD controls are in place regarding electronic components throughout production cycle
• Practicing and sustaining 5S
• Proposing continuous improvement and lean initiatives
• Supporting new hire quality training program amongst production line

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical Engineering or related field with minimum 1 years of experience
• Proactivity in problem solving
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow testing procedures
• Skilled in time management
• Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
