This Position reports to: Sales Manager Short Term Business
As a Sales Specialist, you are responsible for the sales of ABB Motion LV IEC motors in a high-tech environment and act as the key point of contact for our customers. Together with the sales team, you contribute to business success by coordinating and planning complex solutions and sales strategies, and by developing measures for customer acquisition within the Austrian sales territory.

Responsibilities
- Responsibility for new customer acquisition in the LV IEC motors business, as well as active management, development, and retention of the existing customer base across the entire Austrian sales territory
- Customer-oriented and technically sound presentation of the ABB LV IEC motors portfolio, including the development of complex solutions in close cooperation with technical support
- Preparation, calculation, and follow-up of quotations through to order placement, including coordination of internal interfaces and ensuring professional project execution
- Continuous market and competitor analysis, identification of new business opportunities, participation in trade fairs and customer events, as well as budget responsibility including regular analysis of achieved sales results
Qualifications
- Completed technical education (HTL or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering, combined with a commercial background
- At least 5 years of experience in the sales of LV IEC motors
- Proven ability to build and develop sustainable customer relationships, as well as a high willingness to travel within Austria (approx. 70–80% travel activity)
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Valid Class B driving license
- Very good command of standard MS Office applications
- Experience with the CRM tool Salesforce is an advantage
- Strong closing skills and assertiveness, persuasive communication, negotiation skills, service orientation, and strong self-management
- Cooperative and solution-oriented working style, with very good presentation and communication skills

Compensation
In accordance with the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry in Austria, the minimum salary for this position is € 75.000 gross per year (May 2025) inclusive bonus. There is a clear willingness to offer compensation above the collectively agreed minimum salary, depending on qualifications and experience.
