This Position reports to: Quality Manager Work Model: On-site

Location: Quartino, Switzerland

Division: Power Protection, Smart Power

Your Role and Responsibilities

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Manage a cross-functional team, fostering collaboration and professional development
• Act as a quality interface between Agile Teams (R&D & Product Management), Operations, and Suppliers to ensure product robustness before the release (G5)
• Analyze test data, quality KPIs, and field return issues and provide critical feedback during the definition of product requirements, influencing design for quality and reliability
• Manage quality product validation, according to ABB PCP (Product Creation Process) or equivalent methodologies (e.g., APQP), including test planning, design, and execution
• Actively support the Design FMEA, Process FMEA, and PPAP activities in cross-functional teams
• Contribute to improving Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Testing (DFT), with a focus on PCBA production processes

Qualifications for the Role

• Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering
• Previous experience in product development as well as 5+ years of experience in the Power Electronics industry, preferably in the UPS sector
• Strong expertise in UPS architecture (single-phase and three-phase systems from 10 kW to 2 MW), including both hardware and software
• Hands-on experience with product validation plans, including definition, execution, and analysis of lab test results
• Solid knowledge of FMEA, PPAP, PCP/APQP quality tools and methodologies
• Deep understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes, including the ability to influence design for testing and manufacturability
• Fluent or professional-level English (both spoken and written)
• Strong team spirit and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
