ABB's Distribution Solutions Division provides utility, industrial and commercial customers with safe, smart, and sustainable technologies for the distribution of electricity. About the Role
This position reports to the EL Product Marketing Manager and contributes to the Electrification Distribution Solutions (Medium Voltage) Business in Malaysia. The work model for this role is Hybrid.
Main stakeholders are ABB Valued Customers, Partners & Employees.
Your Responsibilities
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Implementing the local go-to market product marketing strategy including definition and communication of product value propositions, product positioning in accordance with the global product marketing strategy
- Leading the new product launch & deployment process
- Ensuring product marketing targets and budgets are met through regular monitoring and implementing improvement plans as needed
- Executing annual marketing plans in collaboration with relevant business units/product groups and preparing business plans focused on business development for defined markets
- Supporting the Sales organization/customers in determining technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and preparing demanding offers
- Overseeing sales execution for assigned products by providing relevant materials and guidance to sales team(s)
- Striving for the growth and profitability of assigned products
- Coordinating market analyses with sales team members and defining appropriate forecasts and strategizing business plans based on market trends, business opportunities
- Evaluating and sharing customer research, market conditions and competitor data
- Implementing marketing activities and supporting the Sales organization in increasing sales and services for respective products
- Enhancing sales efficiency through providing appropriate product knowledge information and training
Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering product management or sales
- Experience in medium voltage Product such as switchgear, protection relay, Compact Substation, E-house, DCS & EMNCS, and distribution solutions product portfolio and in order management and order forecast/revenue forecast is an added advantage
- Demonstrated skill in developing and managing customer relationships with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach
- Proficient product-to-market sense and ability to communicate effectively internally and externally
- Proficient in written and spoken English, with strong ability to communicate effectively across internal and external stakeholders
- Willingness to travel up to 30% locally
