About the Role

This position reports to: Production Supervisor

Operates and sets up the Cold Form Cell which includes the Asahi, The Wash Tank, and Annealing Ovens, where extremely high level of fixture changes or set-ups occur. Sets up, operates, and performs specialized tasks such as loading programs, assembling and disassembling tooling in the Asahi. Operates under minimal or no supervision in this specialized process area. Must demonstrate a Safety 1st mentality, and the quality, service, and productivity consistently meets corporate expectations.

Qualifications

• Specialized work area equipment or process experience on cold forming (extrusion) equipment or company product and secondary equipment or processes
• Manual dexterity and mechanically inclined
• Capable of training co-workers
• Able to follow quality plans and work instructions
• Uses a variety of common machine tools and gauges, calipers, etc.
• Reads blueprints

Education and Experience

• High school graduate or GED required
• Requires 2 years minimum experience in machine operating or related manufacturing processes
• Requires 2 years minimum experience using hand tools such as sockets, wrenches and torque wrenches
• Ability to read dial calipers and micrometers is a plus
