This Position reports to:

Head – Motor & Generator Services

Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to adapt and implement support strategy for the designated area in line with the global support strategy. Each day, you will ensure seamless technical and commercial support for internal and external customers. You will also showcase your expertise by creating, implementing, and reviewing support strategy for the designated area based on the overall service business strategy.

This role is contributing to the Motion business based at Bangalore, India:

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Drive condition monitoring strategy for critical assets in motor driven systems (electric HV & LV motors, generators, variable frequency drives, driven equipment etc) to improve reliability, availability, and lifecycle performance.

• Lead technical discussions with customers and internal teams on asses condition, risk, and maintenance priorities.

• Recommend predictive and preventive maintenance actions based on diagnostic findings to improve machine life and reliability

• Mentor testing engineers and analysts in testing practices, diagnostics, and interpretation of monitoring results.

• Enhance customer experience by timely delivery of high-quality diagnostic reports with actionable recommendations.

• Identify service opportunities from monitoring insights and support pull-through business conversion – includes maintenance jobs, spares, upgrades, replacements etc.

• Drive development plans to expand condition monitoring offerings around wind generators, traction motors, LV motors, and other adjacent equipment categories.

• Use ABB tools such as Technical Report Preparation and ServIS Learning effectively for analysis and reporting.

• Qualifications for the role

• Expertise in condition monitoring of motors, generators, and related adjacencies across all types and ratings.

• Hands-on knowledge of offline and online testing of HV/LV motors and generators across various types and ratings.

• Basic understanding of insulation systems used in electric motors and generators.

• Good knowledge of testing methods and procedures performed on motors and generators.

• Basic analytical knowledge related to condition monitoring and diagnostic testing.

• Design knowledge of large motors and generators is preferred.

• Full time BE/B.Tech Electrical

• Min 10 years of exp

• Technically strong on high voltage Motors and Generators. PAN India travel will be 20 % .Condition Monitoring of Motors and Generators
