This Position reports to:

Local Division Manager, Electrification Service

The Service Site Manager leads and coordinates all on-site activities for medium to large projects to ensure safe, high-quality, and cost-effective execution throughout start-up, construction/erection, commissioning, and maintenance phases. This role serves as the on-site Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the customer, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, schedule commitments, ABB standards, and safety expectations.

Working within the Data Center Center of Excellence (CoE), you will plan, schedule, and oversee service resources; support continuous improvement; and help customers optimize their operations. The role requires extensive travel throughout the EMEA region to support data center installation and commissioning activities.

The Data Center CoE is a specialized team within Electrification Service Ireland, dedicated to driving best practices, innovation, and strategic support for data center customers.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

  • Ensure strong customer orientation, responsiveness, and care across all assigned activities.

  • Strengthen customer relationships by delivering outstanding service throughout project operations.

  • Drive continuous improvement in customer satisfaction.

  • Identify operational improvement opportunities and customer pain points while on-site.

  • Communicate identified opportunities to account teams following established processes.

  • Represent ABB on-site in a professional and consistent manner, acting as the link between the customer and internal teams.

  • Lead site operations and establish the approach for project execution.

  • Oversee site planning, mobilization, monitoring, and control of internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to achieve project goals.

  • Coordinate the full spectrum of on-site activities from site handover to project completion.

  • Ensure execution of start-up, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning activities in line with contract requirements, quality standards, timelines, and safety policies.

Qualifications for the Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in data center installation, start-up, or operations, including management responsibility.

  • Strong background in electrical infrastructure installation and commissioning.

  • Project and operations leadership (project, portfolio, and operations management).

  • Quality and risk governance.

  • Customer-focused mindset and excellent time-management capabilities.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency with data center management tools and software.

  • Solid understanding of medium- and low-voltage electrical switchgear.
