About the Role
This position reports to: Quality Control Specialist
This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power Division in Senatobia, MS area.
Work Model: Onsite
In this role, you will support the deployment of the continuous improvement strategy for a local organizational unit, including promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement. You will mentor and coach teams to achieve operational excellence and drive improved results, and deploy and lead projects to improve and sustain local business performance.
Your Responsibilities
You will be mainly accountable to:
- Support the deployment of strategy and objectives for continuous improvement at a local organizational level
- Escalate to relevant stakeholders, as necessary, to remove roadblocks that prevent the successful implementation and adoption of continuous improvement initiatives at local level and help facilitate cases of conflicting priorities in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Facilitate significant improvements with respect to safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and/or cost targets, meeting customer and stakeholder commitments in collaboration with local leadership
- Provide training support by developing and maintaining training modules and toolkits aligned with business needs in collaboration with management at local level
- Track programs, initiatives, projects, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to demonstrate progress and value, enabling decision-makers to allocate resources and recognize success
- Drive/support systematic benchmarking of external processes and techniques, incorporating relevant learnings into local ABB practices

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Similar
- 2-3 years' experience in production planning, material planning or similar role (ETO manufacturing experience is a plus)
Must have skills:

Material Logistics: Knowledge in managing internal and external logistics, including Kanban systems, material picking, and coordination with suppliers.
Production Logistics: Experience in line balancing, waste elimination, standard work, and creating work instructions.
Quality Process Reengineering: Implementation of Quality Gates, improving First Pass Yield, reducing PPMs, and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
Work Authorization: Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
