
Production Supervisor - Day Shift

This Position reports to:
Production Manager
As a Production Supervisor, you ensure efficient and cost-effective production results that meet order demand, specifications, quality, and planning targets through the coordination and management of plant equipment, personnel, and production processes (quantity, quality, budgeted costs, and proper productivity level).
This role is contributing to the Electrification, Installation Products division and is located in Montreal.
The work model is 100% onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Establish production objectives in partnership with the Production Manager
- Monitor key operational performance indicators (quality, service, performance)
- Plan and coordinate activities across the five departments (machining, welding, painting, assembly, shipping)
- Provide solutions to issues that may arise within the production process
- Identify and recommend improvements to equipment and technical facilities
- In collaboration with the Quality Control team, ensure that manufactured products comply with customer requirements
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S)
- Manage human resources activities effectively, including hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, compensation, disciplinary matters, and vacation planning

Requirements:
- College diploma (DEC) or bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency and autonomy with computer software (Word, Excel, integrated systems such as AS400 or SAP)
- Collaborative and solution-oriented approach
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts
- Knowledge of metallurgy
