Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide customs and export control classification for ABB products, purchased third-party products, software, and raw materials. Each day, you will ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and guidelines. You will also showcase your expertise by conducting thorough research and analysis of ABB products to determine the appropriate product classification codes and standards.

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:

• Providing Export Control (ECCN/ECN) and Customs (HTS/HS tariff code, Preferential/Non Preferential Origin) classification of products, software, and/or technologies as part of new product introduction cycle
• Managing and updating master data for products, technologies, and software, including product description, and/or supporting customs declarants with product information required for master data management and entries
• Supporting relevant teams (Procurement, Order Handling, R&D, Customs, Sales etc…) regarding product classification-related inquiries or issues
• Reviewing and applying relevant changes in the regulatory framework related to product classification
• When working in a local Business, the PCE has a functional reporting line to the Local Trade Compliance Officer, and occasionally may be approached by the country trade compliance officer to support the classification of an item on ad hoc basis

Qualifications for the Role

• You have good knowledge or a strong willingness to learn about ELSP products, software, technologies, and classification processes.
• You have good knowledge about customs and export control regulations.
• You have solid skills in MS Office and SAP, and you are well organized, precise, and diligent in data management and documentation.
• You are business-oriented, proactive, flexible, and able to work independently while remaining a strong team player.
• You are at ease communicating in Italian and English.

Compensation Package

As part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:

Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico

Minimum annual salary: € 48.000

Variable Pay: AIP target 5% + Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus
