Key responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you are responsible for planning and procuring production equipment while actively driving the continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes. Leveraging your expertise in manual motor starters, mini and installation contactors, thermal relays, monitoring relays, and motor control systems, you contribute significantly to the optimization of efficient, reliable, and future-oriented production operations.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Conceptual design and performance evaluation of new production facilities, including the preparation of the required technical specifications.

  • Management of suppliers and responsibility for meeting project timelines and cost targets throughout the procurement process.

  • Coordination and execution of commissioning activities together with equipment manufacturers and production teams, as well as organizing operator training and preparing manufacturing documentation (work instructions, process instructions, etc.).

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing scrap, quality, and downtime issues and implementing sustainable optimization measures in collaboration with internal and external manufacturing partners.

Qualifications for the role

  • Successfully completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical field.

  • Several years of professional experience in a comparable position within a manufacturing or production environment.

  • Business-fluent German and fluent English, both written and spoken.

  • Willingness to undertake occasional business travel (travel requirement below 10%).

  • Solid knowledge of Lean Management methodologies and Six Sigma principles, ideally supported by a Green Belt certification.

  • Knowledge of MS Project, Minitab, and Windchill is an advantage.
