The Role
Reports to: Production Manager
Work model: Hybrid
The ABB Quartino plant is part of the Critical Power Business Line, where we develop and produce UPS systems designed to stabilize and ensure continuity of power grid supply at our global customers' facilities. The strong market expansion and expected volume increase in the coming years require an expansion of our production organization.
The production structure is organized in Integrated Production Units (IPUs), divided by product type. Each IPU is autonomously organized so it can independently coordinate all the resources needed to ensure the required production outputs, while maintaining the expected quality and costs.
The IPU Leader will report to the Site Production Manager and will work alongside the other IPUs and their IPU Leaders, coordinating the assigned product lines.
Responsibilities
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Implementation of the production strategy defined by the division and the Quartino management and definition of priorities within the IPU as well as IPU coordination for both direct production team and indirect functions (Planning, Production Development, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality)
- Ensure the correct execution of the assigned products in compliance with the Quality, Costs, Terms required
- Implementation of the safety directives defined both for production activities and for the infrastructures as well as coordination of continuous improvement projects such as the implementation of new assigned lines or decommissioning of lines in phase out
- Ensure correct collaboration and interface with external team/function to the IPU (Quality, Agile Team, Logistics, etc.)
Qualifications
- Technical education, further education (technical or management engineering) is a plus
- Experience in leading interdisciplinary teams in the production sector
- Excellent knowledge of logistics/production processes
- Strategic vision, analytical ability and target oriented
- Proven leadership skills, being a motivator who facilitates alignment among internal and external partners
- Fluent in Italian and English is essential (Min level B2)
