ABB Drive Products serves the industries and infrastructure segments with world-class drives and programmable logic controllers (PLC). With its products, global scale and local presence, the Division helps customers to improve energy efficiency, productivity and safety.
Location
This role is open globally, but location is set in Central Europe with preference for Finland (Helsinki), Germany (Mannheim), Italy (Sesto San Giovanni) and Spain (Madrid).
The work model is hybrid #.
The selected candidate will join a F2F training (1 to 3 months) in our ABB factory in the US (New Berlin, Wisconsin).
Key Responsibilities
- Understanding of Data Center architecture and applications and correlating them to ABB LV drive products.
- Developing and prioritizing a business development pipeline of $50M+ for HVACR Data Center customers.
- Understanding industry dynamics, decision-making processes, and key decision-makers.
- Positioning ABB as a preferred supplier by understanding motor and VFD “Approved Vendor List” definitions.
- Monitoring technology trends and shifts, translating them into product utilization insights.
- Collaborating with product management and marketing to develop industry-specific portfolios and promotional materials.
- Supporting local Sales and Channel Managers and coordinating activities with stakeholders and Key Customers.
- Establishing effective relationships with key customers and provide regular summary reports to sales management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related discipline, or another field supported by relevant professional experience.
- 4+ years of relevant experience within a complex business environment successfully selling technical products to data centers.
- Product and marketing knowledge of HVACR equipment as they relate to Data Center systems and applications. Knowledge of motor and drives a plus.
- Experience in customer interface at all levels up to the C-Suite. Ability to understand and convey customer needs and develop value propositions.
- Fluent English both spoken and written.
