Position Overview
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Work model: Onsite / #
Key Responsibilities
As a Production Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for the industrialization of new products from design to series production in the field of miniature circuit breakers. You will drive improvements in the Project Engineering Department, R&D projects and production within the Local Product Group in Heidelberg. Your focus will be on Project Engineering, where you will play a key role in bringing innovative products to market.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Leading projects as project manager or sub-project manager using and considering the valid gate model
- Introducing new parts and products in production and providing series support
- Supporting external production sites in the field of industrial engineering (regular business travel inclusive)
- Defining the sequence of the production process in line with material- and investment- budgets
- Investigating new methods, technologies and changes in equipment and process design to meet specifications
Qualifications
- A university degree in the field of industrial engineering or similar
- Several years of experience in the field of industrial engineering or continuous improvement
- Experience with large R&D and industrialization projects; knowledge in simultaneous engineering is desirable
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills in German and English
- Familiarity with quality control processes and standards
