ABB's Distribution Solutions Division facilitates the efficient and reliable distribution, protection and control of power by improving electric power quality while strengthening the resilience of the grid. The Division offers segment-specific products and solutions that largely serve utilities, industry and infrastructure segments, often providing the requisite medium-voltage link between high-voltage transmission systems and low-voltage users. With ABB Ability™ enabled connected solutions at its core, the offering includes medium-voltage air- and gas-insulated switchgear (1 to 66 kilovolts), indoor and outdoor circuit breakers, reclosers, fuses, contactors, relays, instrument transformers, sensors, motor control centers, as well as low-voltage switchgear for the ANSI standard markets.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Support local division manager as strong finance business partner
- Translate global Business Lines strategy into short term (APP) and long term (LPP) financial plans for local Business lines and its product groups and ensure delivery of KPIs in line with given plan
- Monitor local market situation and accordingly help local management work out forward looking scenario(s) to help ELDS growth: think ambitiously but be ready to act if conditions are changing
- Drive internal transparency and collaboration
- Ensure high level of E2E transparency within the local divisions across different Business lines, but also towards other countries (export business), costing of product versus external/internal pricing to ensure high level margin transparency in ELDS value chain (to be able to make quick decision on market)
- Drive one team approach locally (removing barriers) through providing transparency/visibility/one team culture
- Build a strong and sustainable finance team and sustain ELDS as an attractive place to be for finance community
Qualifications for the Role
- Strong finance professional with at least 10 years experience running sizeable business as finance business partner
- Business acumen: well balanced between people, finance, markets, technology and operations knowledge
- Collaborative approach with "one level up" thinking – team up across the entire organization where needed, with peers, partners, customers, suppliers or other divisions
- Role model for HSE/compliance/internal controls
- Drives the definition and implementation of global standards and business specific guidelines to ensure continuous improvement in financial control process within their area of responsibility
