Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant team.

You will be working with ABB Robotics, and role is based out of Bangalore, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Living ROBOTICS’s core values of health, safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business
• Support Sourcing/category team in daily operations work.
• Identifies new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team and local stakeholders.
• Qualifies new suppliers in cooperation with category team.
• Negotiates agreements with main suppliers and periodically renews price lists and terms and conditions to meet business requirement.
• Adapts corporate contractual framework to the local business needs.
• Recommends frame agreements to management and executes upon approval.
• Analyses and evaluates bids in order to determine the optimal value.
• Supports bid and proposal teams by providing relevant market information.
• Tracks goods received to verify appropriate delivery and ensure invoice processing.
• Oversees supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolves performance issues.
• Supports Purchase Orders (PO) process in Ariba Buying tool or local ERP, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirms delivery with suppliers, monitors, and tracks supplier performance to PO requirements.
• Support category team in the achievement of business targets, including but not limited to cost reduction/cost avoidance, supplier compliance, etc.
• Support the roll out or implementation of digital procurement tools such as Ariba Buying, Fieldglass, punchout catalogues and statistic catalogs to ensure a high level of hands-free ordering.
• Act as IM&S procurement focal and support all IM&S procurement related topics in India and other assigned countries in SOMA region.

Qualifications for the role

• Any bachelor’s degree from reputed universities.
• Superior English in spoken and written.
• Good communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• 4 to 6year experience in procurement. IM&S procurement experience would be a plus.
• Knowledge in P2P process would be a plus.
• Knowledge in SAP Ariba (Ariba Buying, Ariba SSS, Ariba Fieldglass) would be a plus.
• Good understanding of local regulatory guidelines.
• Self-learning and learn from the job.
• Self-disciplined and teamwork in the global environment.
