Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to create and complete bids, estimations, and quotations based on customer specifications, requirements, or budget to achieve market competitiveness and high margins for the company. Each day, you will maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers in your area of responsibility. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting and collating the information required to prepare proposals, including both technical and cost elements.
The work model for the role is: onsite.
This role is contributing to the ELDS China Export team in Xiamen. Main stakeholders are ELDS.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Reviews customer technical request. Formulates competitive bids, estimates, and quotations by considering the best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial aspects for each situation.
- Identifies potential risks in the bids**.** Clarify, negotiates, comments or deviates customer requirement and supports sales to discuss with customers and optimize proposal/configuration.
- Calculates costing and figures out pricing during tender stage. Creates well-documented tenders in a timely manner.
- Ensures that inputs for editing activities related to bid, estimate, and quotation preparation are provided in a timely manner and in accordance with the established quality procedures.
- Collects and archives documentation regarding the offer/order and records assumptions and decisions made during development**.**
- Supports order releasing, handing over after order received. Supports contract variation process during project execution stage.

Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree or above, major in Electrical or Automation related.
- More than 3 years of experience in project/operations/product management in Electric Power Industry is preferred.
- Familiar with protection and communication protocol.
- Familiar with electrical power systems and switchgear is an advantage.
- Good command of oral and written English.
- Self-motivation and good time management, be able to manage the tender timetable.
- Systematic thinking and result driven.
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, good teamwork and strong communication skills.
