Position Overview

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

At ABB, we help important industries outrun - leaner and cleaner. The Facilities Worker is a member of the Facilities Maintenance organization whose primary function is to clean and maintain the aesthetic appearance of all building spaces.

Responsibilities

• Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition
• Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing trash
• Perform routine facilities support activities and notify management of need for repairs
• Clean and maintain aesthetic appearance of all building spaces by vacuuming, mopping, dusting and washing, including but not limited to:
• Rest rooms
  • Kitchen space
  • Break rooms
  • Office spaces
  • Conference rooms
  • Shop Floor
• Replenish facility supplies such as toilet tissue, paper towels and room deodorizers
• Collect and dispose of refuse from all receptacles within the facility and recycling bins and transport to collection dumpsters
• Conduct special cleaning operations as necessary to keep facility carpets and tile floors in an aesthetically proper appearance, including spot treatment of carpeting and tile
• Provide oversight of contracted outside services for carpet cleaning and other special services
• Operate shop floor scrubbing equipment, either manual or ride-on, depending on the type of floor scrubbing task being performed

Qualifications

• 1 year custodial experience
• High school diploma/GED required
• Flexible work schedule as required

The Division also manufactures solutions for medium-voltage applications used in the utility market under its marquee brands including Elastimold™ reclosers and switchgear, capacitor switches, current limiting fuses, Homac™ distribution connectors, Hi-Tech Valiant™ full-range current limiting fuse for fire mitigation, faulted current indicators and distribution connectors, cable accessories and apparatus with products for overhead and underground distribution. Manufacturing includes made-to-stock and custom-made solutions.
