Your Role and Responsibilities
The main mission of the Sales Support Engineer will be to act as the technical link between customers, the sales team and the engineering department within the field of power electronics, including solutions such as solar PV inverters, bi-directional inverters for BESS and rectifiers for H2 applications.
The role will focus on understanding customer needs, translating them into clear technical requirements and ensuring their feasibility throughout the sales process. By providing strong technical expertise, high-quality pre-sales support and close collaboration with internal teams, the Sales Support Engineer will contribute to successful commercial opportunities, customer satisfaction and the company’s growth in the power electronics market.
- Analyze customer requirements from RFQs, RFPs, tenders and technical specifications, identifying compliance, deviations and technical risks.
- Select, size and configure power electronics solutions, ensuring the best technical and cost-effective approach.
- Prepare and coordinate the technical offer, including documentation, sizing justification, scope definition, alternatives and deviations.
- Support the sales team in customer meetings, providing technical expertise throughout the pre-sales process.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate costs, lead times, technical feasibility and proposal quality.
- Maintain technical documentation and customer insights to support continuous improvement and future product development.
Qualifications for the Role
- Strong understanding of power electronics systems. Valuable – strong experience on solar PV and/or energy storage current company power electronics product portfolio: Proteus PV Inverters and Proteus PCS-E bidirectional converters.
- Knowledge of electrical diagrams and protection systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards (IEC, UL, EN, IEEE, grid codes).
- Ability to translate complex technical topics into customer-friendly language.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
- High customer orientation and problem-solving mindset.
