Role Overview

This Position reports to: IS Service Owner - Build & Accelerate

The work model for the role is:

This role is contributing to the Acceleration and Modernisation Vertical, under Build and Accelerate team and part of the ABB IS Division in Bangalore India. Main stakeholders are Internal Business Partners.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to own software solution architecture across multiple architecture categories and ensure its alignment with enterprise and data architecture standards. Each day, you will be responsible for the design and build, integrity, and quality of an Information Systems (IS) solution and associated IS services delivered to business. You will also showcase your expertise by consulting, advising, and supporting on the installation of new IS solutions/services, or changing existing IS solutions/services.

Responsibilities

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Ensuring that the IS solutions/services provide the required functionality, meet the expectations of business and are reliable, maintainable, compliant, and auditable
• Approving, signing-off, and building any solution to be implemented on ABB Pre-prod and production environment, within the respective service line, ensuring required quality and safety standards
• Contributing to IS problem and incident management by identifying and eliminating the reoccurring defects
• Defining the technical IS solution and ensuring alignment with other modules and surrounding IS applications through cooperation and collaboration among IS solution architects and IS delivery units

Qualifications

• Highly skilled in and enjoy working with Azure DevOps, Docker, Github, Github co-pilot, Sonar Qube, MSDN/Visual studio within the Information Technology product and services area
• Advanced experience of over 5 years in Application modernization and Information Technology and services solution engineering
• Currently Working as IT Solution Architect in Application modernization and the above technologies is a definitive plus
• Enhanced knowledge of Infrastructure as a Code and automation, Cloud infra deployment on Azure, AWS and GCP, Container and Kubernetes Management, CI/CD pipeline implementation, Observability/System monitoring and optimization
• Passionate about modern Technology and thrive to design new age solutions that will enhance business value for the organization and customers
• Degree in Information Technology
• Fluent in English

Mandatory Certifications

• Azure/ AWS/GCP Solutions architect/expert

Good to Have Certifications

• Docker Certified
• Kubernetes Admin
• TOGAF
• CCSP
