Position Overview

Reports to: R&D Team Lead

Work Model: Onsite

Location: Xiamen, China

Contributing to: EL-ELDS-DSSWPAIS: MV primary AIS

Main Stakeholders: ELDS

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product, and/or solution development, as well as associated Intellectual Property (IP). Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development for specific product-related issues and maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Responsibility on medium voltage switchgear product development according to the customer's needs and new technology development trend
• Participate in medium voltage switchgear development according to market requirement, including mechanical components and electrical components design, and preparing related project documents
• Lead or conduct related analysis and simulation during product development, with experiences of quality tools (such as DFM/A, FMEA, six-sigma) and simulation
• Guide or participate in prototype manufacturing and solution verification and type testing
• Be responsible for problem analysis and solving of product technical related issues, providing technical support
• Collaboration with project team members and project manager during R&D project execution

Qualifications for the Role

• Bachelor degree or above, major in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical design
• 5 years' R&D experience in power products (Low Voltage, Medium Voltage, High voltage, apparatus)
• Rich knowledge of power system, switchgear and relevant IEC/GB/DL standards
• Well know MS office tools, Solid Works, Auto-CAD and simulation tool and other related
• Be good at oral and written English
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Teamwork spirit and be able to adapt to cross-cultural working environment, to take responsibility and pressure
• Agile thinking, with innovative spirit and consciousness
