Position Overview
This position reports to: Sales Director – Installation Products, India Work Model: #Li-Onsite
Location: Faridabad, India
This role is contributing to the ABB India, Electrification Business Installation Products in India. In this role, you will have the opportunity to handle sales, marketing and prescription activities related to products within the defined industry segment for PAN India. Each day, you will ensure that the division and related sales units substantially improve their sales, margins, market share, and customer satisfaction in the select market segment. You will also showcase your expertise by developing and implementing a market-based strategy including direct, third party, and project sales and enhancing cross-division and cross-region business-led collaborations for the specific market segment.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Sales Ownership
- Grow business revenues and meet sales targets for the OEM segment with regional responsibility across Installation Products, including Cable Protection Systems, Wire & Cable Management, and Medium Voltage products
Customer, Influencer & Standards Skills
- Build lasting relationships with key customers and influencers while providing skilled guidance on international and local standards and codes for ABB products and solutions
Market Intelligence & Opportunity Development
- Leverage operational intelligence, benchmarking, and competitive analysis to understand customer needs, identify product gaps, and develop new business opportunities
Sales Execution & Customer Satisfaction
- Conduct market visits, expand coverage, acquire new customers, resolve customer issues, manage commercial terms, and ensure high customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle
Collaboration, Marketing & Reporting
- Facilitate cross-division collaboration and knowledge sharing, execute effective marketing activities to articulate ABB's value proposition, and provide regular sales and marketing performance reports with actionable insights
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- BE in Electrical & Electronics with 8–15 years of experience in the switchgear industry
Product & Customer Knowledge
- Proficient understanding of ABB Installation Products, customer requirements, and market dynamics
- Demonstrated leadership with a history of strategic business development and growth initiatives
Relationship Management
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with key customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
Strategic Thinking
- Ability to develop and execute effective sales and marketing strategies aligned with business objectives
Communication Skills
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with teams, customers, and senior stakeholders
Methodological & Problem-Solving Skills
- Advanced methodological capabilities to identify trends, make data-driven decisions, and resolve complex business challenges
Digital & Commercial Acumen
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools, CRM systems, and online channels, with the ability to support strategic commercial objectives and growth initiatives

ABB Installation Products Division (formerly Thomas & Betts) helps manage the connection, protection and distribution of electrical power from source to socket. The Division's products are engineered to provide ease of installation and perform in demanding and harsh conditions, helping to ensure safety and continuous operation for utilities, businesses and people around the world.
Commercial Essentials Product Segment
- Electrical junction boxes, commercial fittings, strut and cable tray metal framing systems for commercial and residential construction
Premier Industrial Product Segment
- Ty-Rap® cable ties, T&B Liquid tight Systems® protection products, PVC coated and nylon conduit systems, power connection and grounding systems, and cable protection systems of conduits and fittings for harsh and industrial applications
Medium-Voltage Applications
- Solutions for utility market under marquee brands including Elastimold™ reclosers and switchgear, capacitor switches, current limiting fuses, Homac™ distribution connectors, Hi-Tech Valiant™ full-range current limiting fuse for fire mitigation, faulted current indicators and distribution connectors, cable accessories and apparatus with products for overhead and underground distribution
- Manufacturing includes made-to-stock and custom-made solutions
