About the Role

Position Reports to: Service Manager, PAEN, UAE Cluster

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Work Model: Onsite and Office as needed

Contributing to: Services/Process Automation/Energy Industries/Services

Main Stakeholders: Energy Industries Service

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop course materials and handle content delivery for technical training for customers, either in classroom or on-site. Each day, you will be responsible for post-training activities such as course feedback collection, possible corrective actions on course materials and equipment, etc. You will also showcase your expertise by guaranteeing excellent customer service and securing high level of customer satisfaction through trainings.

Responsibilities

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Preparing and delivering training courses in classroom or on-site and following up on post-training day activities
  • Developing course material for classroom and on-site training in your own area of responsibility and advising on updates needed in e-learning material
  • Supporting Field Service team and other teams/units, when necessary, using their own expertise in technical support tasks and roles
  • Facilitating in course administration through making arrangements and answering enquiries and proposals for training courses
  • Performing complex field service tasks related to 800xA with AC800M and applications, identifies technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which they are certified to perform
  • Troubleshooting system level failures and requests proactive corrective actions and makes recommendations to avoid such issues in the future
  • Keeping close contact with technical Product Management, Project Management, Engineering, Sales, and other stakeholder groups that support the development and delivery of training courses

Qualifications

  • Engineering Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics or Electrical
  • Knowledge and good hands-on experience of ABB systems in: 800xA with AC800M is a Must-Have
  • Minimum 3-5 Years as a Technical Trainer for Automation industry OR Minimum 8-10 years' experience in Site Support in automation industry in Engineering, Commissioning role and experience in the automation and Control Systems
  • Overall automation systems understanding, combined with process knowledge in Oil & Gas, Power & Water
  • Knowledge of ABB systems eg: Infi90, Symphony Plus (S+) etc.
  • Fluent communication skills in English and preferably in Arabic as well
  • Knowledge of Industrial Cyber security and networking solutions for ABB systems
  • Certifications in specific control systems or safety standards (e.g., TÜV Functional Safety Engineer)
  • Experience with Onshore and Offshore Oil and Gas customer especially ADNOC and GCC customers
  • Strong Customer interpersonal skills and Technical Training experience
  • Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)
  • Willingness to travel to Site and work there as well when needed is a Must have
