Position Overview
Reports to: Digital Channels and Platforms Lead
The Digital Tools Specialist is responsible for the administration, optimization, and day-to-day ownership of key digital platforms within our marketing and communications ecosystem. This role ensures that tools such as Adobe Assets, 123Form Builder, Monsido, Sprout Social, and other SaaS digital applications are effectively managed, fully leveraged, and aligned with business needs. Working closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and ABB IS application managers, the Digital Tools Specialist will serve as the go-to expert for user management, training, feature enhancement requests, and ongoing platform governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage a portfolio of digital tools (such as Adobe Assets, SEMrush, Monsido, and Sprout Social), ensuring they are reliable, compliant, and fit for purpose
- Handle user access, permissions, onboarding and offboarding, and overall platform governance across all assigned tools
- Act as the main point of contact for business stakeholders, gathering needs, answering questions, and translating requests into system improvements
- Monitor tool usage and performance, identifying issues, risks, and opportunities to improve efficiency and adoption
- Develop and deliver training sessions, onboarding materials, and best-practice guidance to help teams use tools effectively
- Promote adoption of new features and updates by communicating changes clearly and supporting users through transitions
- Work closely with external vendors and ABB IS application managers to coordinate support, upgrades, security requirements, GDPR compliance and roadmaps
- Maintain documentation and provide regular updates and recommendations to support continuous improvements
Requirements
- A bachelor's or master's degree in information technology, communications, or a related field
- 2–3 years of experience in digital platform administration, digital marketing tools management, or similar role
- Hands-on experience with the management of SaaS platforms in combination with a strong technical ability to quickly learn new digital tools
- Experience working alongside application managers or IT service teams
- Familiarity with IT governance, user access management, and vendor coordination
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience delivering training, onboarding, or workshops
- Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple tools and priorities
