Your Role and Responsibilities:

We are now looking for a new Buyer to join our team in Electrification Service Vaasa, Finland. In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team.

This role is contributing to the ABB Oy, ELSE in Finland

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Initiating Purchase Orders in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirming delivery with suppliers
• Monitoring and tracking supplier performance to PO requirements
• Negotiating agreements with main suppliers and periodically renewing price lists, terms and conditions
• Recommending frame agreements to management and executing upon approval
• Analyzing and evaluating bids to determine the optimal value

Qualifications for the Role

• BSc. level degree from a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or similar
• Previous experience from operative purchasing within an industrial context
• Understanding of good supplier and stakeholder cooperation
• Proactive attitude and good collaboration skills with the ability to take independent responsibilities
• Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken
• Familiarity and practical experience with MS Office 365 programs and SAP
