The Role
Reports to: Service Sales Manager
This position is part of a 24-month rotational program designed for early talent training, personal and professional growth, and networking. Different rotations will focus on developing inside sales, marketing, leadership skills, and ABB product knowledge. You will complete the rotational program with the Electrification Service business group.
Work Model: Onsite
Location: China (EL Service division)
About the Electrification Service Business Group
Based on ABB Group's leading technology and rich service experience, the Electrification Service business group is committed to providing users with life-cycle support services for electrification equipment. Business types include 11 service categories:
- Installation and commissioning
- Training
- Spare parts
- Maintenance
- Repairs
- Engineering & Consulting
- Advanced services
- Extension, upgrades & retrofits
- End of life service
- Replacement
- Service agreements
Responsibilities
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Penetrate into IB, promote various upgrade, retrofit, and value-add solutions to the benefit of the customer(s) and ABB
- Understand the channel strategy and the establishment of related prices and prepare sales plans, review them, and propose recovery plan(s) when needed
- Utilize IB database to understand the existing IB and identify and develop sales opportunities for service products and solutions to penetrate the existing IB or new IBs in the market
- Focus on the entire service portfolio to secure profit for assigned business / product groups
- Generate service sales leads and develop new market opportunities by utilizing market trend information and through identifying and exploring potential new service portfolios
- Sell entire service product portfolio to expand ABB footprint in the designated area(s)
- Act as a marketer/salesperson of ABB's service products and solutions during marketing activities (campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings)
- Translate the needs of customers into relevant ABB Service offerings and solutions
- Establish long-term customer relationships by understanding their requirements and applicable regulations and by demonstrating in-depth technical service product/solutions knowledge to promote Life Cycle Management (LCM)
- Document customer feedback and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process
- Update IB in the Service database regularly with the changes made at site
- Contribute to risk assessments related to price and quality
- Register required information in the appropriate customer database
- Plan and perform the right number of weekly sales visits and report them on CRM
- Report leads/opportunities, manage, and update pipeline in CRM
- Update and monitor sales proposals and tenders and follow-up on proposal statistics
- Communicate contract details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy and manage administrative sales processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electric & Automation related field
- Fluency in English and Mandarin
- Strong Market and Business know-how
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities
