Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain vocational experience through a temporary work placement. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.

The work model for the role is: On Site.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Division in México.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Support the sourcing and selection of suppliers by evaluating quotations based on price, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Create purchase orders and monitor their status to ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and keep supplier information up to date.
• Assist in vendor negotiations regarding pricing, terms, and conditions.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with warehouse and planning teams to ensure supply continuity.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
• Address and resolve issues related to delivery delays, shortages, or quality concerns.
• Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities and supplier performance.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)

• You enjoy working with planning materials and the electrical market.
• You have basic knowledge on supply chain.
• You are passionate about demand fluctation, forecasting, supply chain.
• Active students from last 3 semesters from careers like International Business, Industrial Engineering or any Engineering field.
